You missed my last sentence!!!

1) if you have pre-ordered, you will get your choice unless there is a technical cock up (ie this is not or wrongly recorded);

2) for people who have not pre-ordered, or on 'to London' flights where pre-ordering is not available, meal choices are ordered by status, so if you are GGL or GCH you are very unlikely to have a problem. If you are blue, it is less certain, especially if the cabin is quite empty or most people have pre-ordered and you haven't.
