Not the case... J awards flying AZ metal are still widely offered on e.g. AMS-TLV, AMS-IST, they even offer stupid AMS-FCO-CDG flights (on AZ metal) as part of a long-haul trip from AMS.

I also checked for November FCO-NRT and I'm offered the direct AZ flights, so I don't think there is any system failure
