WOW...So I see the new holston deal, get all crazy about it, try it, finally figure out what's wrong with my computer/browser and fix it, get a small test card, go to the red sox game (they won against tampa) and get a free Baskin Robbins "shrek swirl" ice cream (4-28 was free cone nite), come home, answer a few PMs, and dream about how I think that I can use that NWA visa to grab a million miles as I prepair for the end of this someone interesting and mile-growth-potential week... all in one nite!

BUT NO, now we are finding that different types of GCs--namely these pre-fee'd credit union based ones which dont charge you on the back end and are VISA instead of MC, are NOT going to work on some CCs, and the purchases of them are coming thru as cash advances on SOME airline CCs! ARGAHHHGH!

The action we racehorses were about to conisder doing, which was jumping full force outta the gate and grabbing these by the 10's of thousands, would have KILLED this deal so fast that even the Charter One ones would have been wrecked. So at least charter one is not yet wrecked... or is it when buying them via the NWA visa???

Ahhh, how deals change...We were bored... we wanted more. IT sucks we could not get it. People who just cash advanced with or without knowing it will get fees and no miles, and we are all about as bummed out now as I was when the Sox lost it in game 7 last Oct 17...



let us gather our tired selves up and move forward... AT least we have our other miles...

I am going to figure out how much was paid in fees or conversion rates from my overseas credit card test from yesterday in the other thread on this subject.

Also, DO PEOPLE THINK we should bring it all back into one (this) thread or not?
