I'm looking at going to Spain in April, near-ish Madrid, for a Tuesday - Saturday trip. As there's no Saturday night away involved, the CE prices are pretty steep. However, BA holidays in Club Europe aren't too bad - doing flights + car hire or flights + cheapest hotel in Madrid brings the price down a lot, to close to budget.

My issue is that I don't want to spend the time in Madrid, I want to be a short train ride away, too far away to be traipsing back to Madrid each night for a hotel. The BA holiday finder website doesn't know about the place I want to head to, so won't let me search. If I booked a car hire or hotel in Madrid I didn't use, then a hotel where I'm really going, it'd be too much.

Is there a known trick to this, maybe some other bit of the BA website that would let you book flights + hotels for a different place nearby? Would a phone call to the GGL line or the BA holidays line be a way to solve it? Or failing that, any OTAs which let you book the cheaper holiday-package flights + hotels who let you search a bit further away than the same city as the airport?
