I just spoke with a CS rep and my purchase from this morning is showing up as an "authorization for a cash advance." Oh well... Hopefully this is just with these new ones and not a new general policy. Earlier I tried having my cash advance limit set to zero for this card and they said they could not do it.

Don't use the USBank Worldperks VISA Platinum card for these!

See my later posting in this thread for more details, but the transaction finally posted on my account and is visible on the web page. I called their customer service number and had the automated phone voice list my last few transactions, and the $982 one is a "retail purchase." So I have no idea what is going on now...
