I don't buy this crap about people being PAID to sit in the seat. If that's the case, don't fly then & don't get to where you have to go, see whether you still get paid your salary minus what you were paid to sit in the seat.

Oh btw, FA being paid ½ waste away in a plane? Keep in mind the plane is their office, once they get to the destination, their work is over. So they are basically being paid ½ to sit at the office and do nothing. While we're at it, keep in mind that a FA's hourly pay is not what a normal person earn because of the fact that they only work 75-80 hours a month so it's not like they're getting only $5/hr to sit on a plane.

Why don't you try and go to work on Monday, sit there and do nothing, tell your boss that you're deadheading to Friday and see whether he will pay you ½ of your salary or kick you out.
