I've noticed that the dispatch rate of Delta connection flights is lower than mainline Delta, to the point of avoiding Delta connection flights as much as possible. I wonder if the same applies to AA and UA and their respective connection carriers.
Also, what were the delay reasons? i.e., was it under UA's control (maintenance) or something out of their hands (weather, ATC)?
It was on the connection carrier, so I acknowledge that might have had something to do with it. Weather was perfect. I believe it was MX one way and crew the other. I realize it's completely anecdotal. I guess I found it ironic more than anything else. Those two flights were the first time I hadn't flown on DL in probably 5 years or more.
