I had similar experience at LAS on Sunday. Other agents simply refused to help. I do not think they could not, probably they just did not want. Our agent was completely clueless, not being familiar even with basics. She called for help - nobody came over. So she proceeded by calling again for advices. One minute typing, 3 minutes on the phone, other minute typing, 3 more minutes on the phone. Her questions showed her total lack of knowledge. At the end she failed to provide correct ticket, just completely messed up our record.

I am old enough to remember the time when there were Southwest costumer service desks - staffed with knowledgeable people at many airports. They had the ability/power/knowledge to help any passengers with any problems.
