I have tried PL bidding a couple of times in the past couple of years to no avail. Now I still use it to book Express Deals, which is where the value seems to have gone. I tend to prefer PL instead of Hotwire in that regard because to me it is a bit easier to suss out what the hotel might be with PL Express Deals.
