I received these two hotel names when I asked a TA about a hotel near the river, convenient to the grand palace and chinatown (first time visitor) and not too far from a Skytrain, if possible. I didn't want to spend more than $100 USD (less is better) and wanted a Thai hotel not a US chain. If its over $100, I'd probably just stay at the Sheraton Royal Orchid.

Does anyone have current information on what these places are like?

Montien Riverside Hotel and Menam Riverside
