My DW and I stayed at the Ramses in 2011, with a upgrade to a balcony view of the Pyramids. The traffic is clearly insane and oddly unique. We had the doorman arrange transportation to the Pyramids and markets. Our driver took us to a guide at the pyramids, where we rode horses through a back gate and could touch and even climb he pyramids. We hired a guide from the American Express tour desk at the hotel and he took us all over the city and through the museum.
