(But if the average CP earner doesn't use the CP more than 3 or 4 times in 2017, maybe it won't matter.)

2) If CP survives as something to be earned in 2018, I wonder if the post-3/31 requirements will be enough to keep the program healthy. Non-frequent WN Customers (unless they are willing to do extensive MS) will really only have the "2 Chase CC bonuses + 6000 other points" option - I could easily see the combination of the new CPQP rules and 5/24 cutting down the number of people who earn CP to a small enough number that makes CP sustainable.

My best guess at present is that CP will be earnable in 2018 (60%/40% if I were an oddsmaker), but I am thought of as an optimist by many of my friends...
I wonder how many people really get CP without flying, sure it sees like EVERYONE is doing it but how many people is that. The average thread here is the same 15 -20 folks posting over and over. I'm sure a LOT of people are getting CP via the TP deal but I wonder if it's as many as it seems and how often they actually use it

Over 4 CP flights a year is not doable for many people as you have to both be able to get the same time off and have quite a bit of vacation time also.

If you have kids unless you have 2 CP's you are paying for them and need to schedule around school, etc

Even with the hotel and flight paid for vacations are still not cheap, We spend at least $3000 every week (Sat - Sun) we go to Florida, the rental car alone is ~$300 and another $100 for off site airport parking.

I'm retired and my wife gets 6 weeks and 3 days vacation. we Use CP ~5 times per year.

That being said I have CP for 2017 and we are getting CP for my wife for 2017/18 as there really is no downside for us in redeeming a TP.
