YYZ MLL showers & dirty used towels
A new low in cleanliness for AC in its domestic lounges?
On January 21st, I arrived from Hong Kong on CX 826 in Toronto and had a connection on AC 430 to Montreal.
So I went to the YYZ MLL domestic lounge at 9:15 pm and asked the counter agent if I could take a shower to freshen up. She said sure, took the keys to bathroom shower 1 and accompanied me to unlock the door while giving me a door sign ''Shower being in used.''
She left and I entered the shower room, put my things on the counter and when I turned back, I discovered dirty used towels on the floor of the shower and no towels on the hangers...
I said to myself : ''This can't be!'' and came out of the bathroom to seek the agent, but she had already gone...
So I went to seek the assistance of a cleaning person near where I was... He started by telling me that when customers take back the ''Shower sign'' to the agent at the counter, the agents are supposed to call the cleaning personnel so they can clean the bathroom shower. Obviously this had not been done.
The cleaning person proceeded to mop the floor and brought me new towels.
As this was my birthday, I will remember this one for sure, especially after a stellar CX flight with many delicate attentions on this occasion, while I am getting a dirty shower with Air Canada...
