Questions regarding $1000 travel certificate

I was offered a $1000 travel cert on a recent flight to move to the next flight. I took it. Here are my questions that I'm having a hard time getting answered:
1. Do I have to use the whole $1000 for one trip?
2. Can I use it for multiple tickets for the same trip?
3. Does it apply to code share flights?
