Sorry to hear about your experiences. That truly sucks. I go out of my way to accommodate wherever possible and it's annoying to hear about those that don't. It shouldn't be that hard.

I used to run a lot of FFer events, and they seem to draw more of the frustrating crowd. Whether looking for a 'gotcha' moment or flat out rule breaking. Sneaking into lunches they weren't invited to, walking in back doors, not paying for things, using hidden cameras to tape lectures, etc... I guess it's not surprising that some people who game airlines and hotels are also looking to do it elsewhere. Having said that, most people were great, but those who weren't were epic.
