Where was this obtained, may I ask?
I'm a big fan of the 2nd wines from top Bordeaux estates, but the best of them, such as IMHO, Clos du Marquis from Leoville Las Cases, Forts de Latour, from Latour, and Pavillion Rouge de Chateau Margaux, have become quite pricey themselves. The days when I got the 1982 vintage of Clos du Marquis for $6.95 and 1983 Pavillion Rouge for $9.95 are long passed (They are superb wines even today with well over 30 years of bottle age), nowadays, from a top current vintage, these 2nd wines are pushing $75 retail - which is similar to many of the mid-tier classified growths which they are comparable in quality to.
