Given this, I would get off the train at Jack London. Check the taxi line and see if there are any minivans/SUVs in there. If not, Uber SUV. Spend some extra bucks to get the five tired travelers in bed at a decent time. With this approach, you probably arrive at your hotel 90 or more minutes earlier than if you take the Amtrak bus.
