If originating at BUD for an international itinerary, OP will have to see an agent or kiosk anyway to get passport/travel docs verified, so it sort of doesn't matter if you have a printed or electronic BP, or none at all. (If in Y, it's still useful to OLCI with AF to get seat assignments for the EU segment.)
