Re-checked for security? With one exception that applies to a few airports, all international connections via the UK have been secured for the past 11 years. And it is regularly tested too! So no, not just LHR. Domestic to international does not require a security check for connections entirely within T5 (and soon T2).
Wish we had this for domestic T5 to international T3 connections too - such a pain!

LOL I think you've been fairly lucky - almost every EDI flight in my last few years has been pretty much rammed, with a friend and I always joking with each other via text when we hear the standard 'this flight is particularly full' overhead announcement that seems to happen on pretty much every flight!
