Yup, very true. After 5/24 went into effect, I was approved for Marriott Premier (personal) while 34/24. I had to call in, and the agent approved me no questions asked.
I applied for Sapphire Reserve in branch, while 26/24. Not instantly approved, waited for mail. After letter arrived, I called in, and agent on the phone approved me no questions asked. I have no banking relationship with Chase.
