issues with rollover nights as Concierge member
So I'm having an issue with Club Carlson regarding rollover nights.
Here's the situation:
- I started 2016 with 30 rollover nights
- I stayed 45 nights during the first half of 2016, earning me Concierge status
- I stayed an additional 30 nights during the second half of 2016, ending the year with 105 qualifying nights
I was expecting the additional 30 nights from 2016 to be rolled over into 2017, but I was credited with zero rollover nights.
I have exchanged over a dozen e-mails with Club Carlson, which has gotten me nowhere.
Here's the latest response:
• Roll Over Nights are any eligible nights earned during each calendar year in excess of those required to qualify the member for their annual elite status tier.
• Roll Over Nights will automatically be applied toward maintaining or increasing status for the next year.
• Roll Over Nights only carry forward for one year and expire thereafter.
As such, only Earned nights of that calendar year qualify to be eligible to be rolled over to the next year.
• Specifically, in 2016 you had 30 nights rolled over from 2015, and had a total of 65 Earned nights in 2015. As Concierge Tier requires 75 nights, the amount that qualified to be rolled over into 2016 (I assume they mean 2017?) was the difference between your 75 Earned nights and the 75 nights needed to earn Concierge: 0 nights
So I basically spent 30 nights at CC without getting anything in return.
Is this explanation consistent with other people's experience? Seems rather ridiculous to me.
