Why don't you give us the dates where you will be travelling then we can look over flight options for you?

Some general information, if you book an award involving only Air Canada flights, then you can make changes for $25+tax at any time if there are seats available. If you book an award involving United, then you cannot make any changes once ticketed.

why fly, the 777 that UA flies to Hawaii is domestic version. Not the type with C+ and First Suite. Same for UA01/02 ORD-HNL. Sometimes they do put the 744 on SFO-HNL though.

Fermat, you're right that AC033/034 continues onto SYD and have international J seats. The problem is that the YVR/HNL segments are closed out this far in advance to maximize the number of seats for YVR/SYD passengers. The other YVR/HNL flights available are all domestic configured.
