I used regular Outlook and I can download from Yahoo mail very easily. (Note: Yahoo makes you upgrade to one of their non-free premium accounts if you want POP3 access)

Note: I just went to the link http://yahoopops.sourceforge.net that was posted above. Apparently, if you use that with Yahoo, it is a way to get around Yahoo's charge for POP3 access.
