In lieu of starting another thread for pretty much the same topic, anyone have any opinions on Kauai vs Big Island for a 7-night Marriott cert stay? My wife and I did the transfer for WN points and my wife is pregnant with our first child and we wanted to get away one more time before we started parenting. We were originally leaning towards Mauna Kea on Big Island but I see a lot of people saying Kauai is their favorite island. The Marriott options there didn't see as good though for two adults from what I could tell. We're looking for some quiet relaxation and beach time but also to get out and do some semi-active stuff (light hikes, sight seeing, etc). Appreciate any feedback since we've never been to either island. We have been to Maui and stayed at the Marriott Wailea and really enjoyed it.
