Yes, I need to use BA metal (or at least a BA flight code) to use the 2-4-1, which rules out the better options of ex Dub or ex Mad for a transatlantic flight.
looks like my original idea wasn't too bad, although I like the idea if F instead if J, I'll get spending to get those miles (and work on work travel approval from my boss, that would help!)
So, is it actually possible to fly to Moskow in F using the 2-4-1 and only pay £70 in taxes+avios?
