Something C-W-S has taught me when using Avios is to evaluate the complete cost. Using a conservative estimate of 1p / point, 240,000 is £2.4k + £2k taxes = £4.4k. That's not far off what 4x ex-eu adult revenue fares costs, with the benefit of TP's and currently earning 3x Avios points.

I'm really struggling to use my 2-4-1, as find I get best value redeeming for RFS hops at peak times, low tax O/W redemptions or "part pay with avios" when it gets close to 1p/point.
