I get the explanation once provided on this forum along the lines of...no point taking fin out of service for no water in the lavs.

Well, no point paying $3,000 for a J ticket to have no water in the J lavs for a 4-5 hour flight.

And yes, I realize you don't know until you board that you will encounter this situation.

I've had this twice.
