I had the same issue with a 2-4-1 booking I made 350+ days out. I called BA a couple of times to chase up ticketing since I wanted to reserve seats on the flight. They said ticketing was done in order of flight departure and since my flight was a way off it might take some time but after a couple of chasers they ticketed the flight and I was able to access the seats in MMB
I spoke to BA and they said more or less the same thing about billing in order of departure date. Like you I booked at T-350 but 3 months still seems a long time to take the money!
BA must be very cash rich if they can afford to be so relaxed about billing.
