Cell Phone Wake Up Calls...

I have a GSM Tri-Band phone, and if one calls my local number, it will ring whereever I am in the world. When you get a wrong number call at 3:00 am and you average only 4 hours sleep a night anyway.....it will test your 'love walk.'

As to being rudly awakened, I remember once when in Tallinn, Estonia, at the Pirita Hotel, the room next door was 'used' by 2 russians and their paid escorts. It stared at about 12:15 am, and they finally finished at around 5:15 am. I called down to the front desk numerous times asking for someone to please tell them to tone it down, but it fell upon deaf Estonian ears.

When my wife and I had to get up at 5:30 am to catch our flight back to the States, we were exhausted. No sleep. We heard things (in Russian) that we never needed or wanted to hear. We later learned that the men in the room were high up in the Russian Mafia, and the hotel knew it. They were not about to do anything!

At least we were on time for our flight....
