I just got back from flying on MH on a 744 and 772 and was seated in 63 and 61 on the window side for both, on the 744, the 62 row H/K? (right side) are crew only seats, 62 A/C are not.

Having no status with MH I didn't think i'd get an exit row, but i did request it and was offered it at checkin too... so i don't think it's that tough if you get there 3 hours before checkin or so - you need to know which are the exit row seats are.. 744 row 38 is (A/C, H/K?) ... can't remember the others.

But my travelling companion wanted the last row, so i was given 61.... on the 772 fyi the last row (63) isn't so good as you get the entertainment unit in the seat in front of you.

seat pitch isn't that great, i think about 32" but i definitely think there is an extra inch on the MH 744's v. MH 772's in the last rows, so it isn't that bad, but i'm used to UA E+ on their 744's and NZ's Y which has a standard 34" pitch. Back rows are also quite good, on my flight yesterday the flight was pretty full at the front of economy but 4 lucky ones including moi, managed to snag the last 4 rows, with 4 seats each to ourselves, i had a nice nap back to SYD
