This is really not a big surprise. Remembering that AMR and AMEX had a long standing Lounge access agreement for Platinum/Centurion members through March of 2014. Until the Centurion Lounge opens, qualified AMEX holders only PHL choice is the DL Crown Room all the way over near Terminal D. Placing this lounge (with showers) in "A", may give some incentive for American to upgrade their existing facilities there, although the forthcoming restricted use Flagship Lounge will have showers. Also, being directly above the non-showered BA lounges should provide some non-AA AMEX members for this lounge.
