Flew US Air PHX-PIT-ORF and ORF-PHL-PHX
Thanks to the generosity of some Ft'ers I had SP upgrades to use the day before the flight
I arrived at the checkin counter ( FC/Status) for an 11:55 flight at 11:10. Agent said wow - you are cutting it close - umm ok. Didnt show my UA card ( mainly because UA has for some reason never seen fit to send me one

) Had upgraded knowing it was the red eye because I wanted to sleep and for some weird reason this flight was completely full. Got on plane - there was a bottle of water sitting at my seat. Never saw a flight attendant the whole flight, but I cant say if that was my fault or theirs as I slept most of the flight. FC seats were nice - not as nice as BC on a 3 class transcon but pretty comparable to UA FC on a 2 class plane, IMO.
Flight out of PIT was 2 hours late on a prop ( so much for my brilliant idea of avioding ACA out of ORD ;( )
The return flight was funnier - agent in ORF had no idea what a UA Premex was - but I really didnt care as my upgrade was in place and she had no clue what I was to give her

. Flight from ORF was 40 minutes late with a 45 minute connection - I called UA and they had me protected on the later PHL flight before I ever left ORF ( gotta love that part of UA ^ ) As It was , I made the flight - didnt know I could run that fast

, but my luggage didnt. This was a 3:45 flight and US actually recognized my UA status in meal taking order which was nice - the choices were a nice chicken salad ( with awful honey mustard dressing) with a WARM roll or some kind of pasta. It was served with the cookie on the tray. FA's were around and serving drinks and coffee on a regular basis. My luggage finally was delivered to my house a little after midnite ( Now I KNOW why I NEVER check - gggrrrr)
All in All a decent experience - but no 500 milers
