Couple of SEA-HAV questions

Hoping to hear from anyone who has flown flight 286/287 recently, from SEA-HAV. It is listed as a non-stop flight, but I'm aware it stops at LAX. Is immigrations done at LAX, with the SEA passengers deplaning, and vice versa on return? Just curious, as I've heard you can get the Cuba "visa" in LAX at the gate (I went ahead and ordered it via the Alaska link, but sadly had to pay the processing fee for 4 pax).

Secondly, did you have the dreaded seat map changes with the equipment swaps? We booked our tix months ago, when Cuba first came open, and obtained the reclining exit row seats as all first class were already blocked off. Much to my dismay, I went to check the ticket after reading about issues, and found that we had NO seats assigned on a full plane. My companions are all over 6' 2" and they are very perturbed. Have had multiple conversations with "Alaska Cares Center" which have yielded only single middle or window seats. What is the chance that I can catch another swap and regain my seats? (Nil, probably, but help me out here...)

Third, since this is a dive trip we are taking our setups - any problems through customs with dive electronics such as computers, etc? I've heard they like to tax items that are expensive.

Thanks, Have asked these questions on other travel forums, but seems like not many people are flying the SEA-HAV route yet (despite our plane being packed).
