Currently at the Westin Chosun in Seoul, where they - very conveniently, I might add - have cell phones in the room that guests can use throughout Korea to keep in touch. Unfortunately

, I was rather rudely awoken at 5:00 A.M. this morning by the alarm on the cell phone, presumably set by the previous guest. Doesn't help that I'd dealing with jetlag and a nasty cold at the moment, so any sleep I can get is currently extra appreciated. Is it so much to ask that housekeeping or someone else check these things when turning over a room? Shouldn't this be part of standard procedure?
I *always* check the alarm clock myself since - as we all know - this can be an issue. Now I have to expand to checking the cell phone alarm, apparently - and deal with figuring out how to turn the alarm off on an unfamiliar gadget in an unfamiliar language. I'm pretty tech-literate, but that specific combo is not my forte, actually. I should probably mention something to guest relations. I certainly need their help in figuring out how to turn off the alarm for tomorrow morning...
