Woke up this morning and noticed the "It's Time To Check-In" email, so I tried, using the iPhone app. Got the "Sorry We are unable to process your request" message. Tried to do it again a few hours later and now it shows me checked in, but won't let me get a boarding pass. I can see the upgrade list but not my name on it. After a couple of calls to Delta, they said I have to go to the ticket counter as there is something wrong with my ticket. They couldn't tell me what exactly. The flight (2218) is sold out, except for 1 F seat. Any ideas? If not, I'll just go to the airport early and will post what transpires.
Some possibilities:
- your ticket includes a certificate upgrade and has not been properly reissued
- your ticket was issued by an airline other than Delta or contains a codeshare flight, and needs manual intervention
- you have been selected for additional security screening (e.g. SSSS on the boarding pass), which requires you to check in in person.
