Great thread, thank you OP and everyone here for the insights-

I recently signed up for the Chase Sapphire Reserve and currently have the Explorer card. My plan is to request for a product change from Chase to go from the Explorer card to the Club card for strictly United Club Access.

I primarily fly United and I am a million mile flyer so all the other benefits of either Explorer or Club cards do not provide any value for me that I don't already have through my elite status with United Airlines.

I'll use the Sapphire card for everything and keep the Club card once I change to that, just for United Club access.
