Was scheduled to fly TPA to LGA today in first that I paid for. Mechanical issues delayed the flight at least 9 hours (still hasn't taken off). I changed my flight to tomorrow and went home. Just now got an e-mail apologizing and telling me they are giving me 15,000 miles as a goodwill gesture. Frustrating day but I'll take them and appreciate not having to ask.
