Yes, it is possible. Did you obtain a PNR (booking ref) ? If yes, enter it in manage my booking or call immediately AF to pay and issue the ticket. If the booking is finally cancelled by the system, it may take a few hours before the seat and corresponding fare returns into the inventory. So if you didn't get a PNR, retry to book in a few hours.
