Incomplete booking, seats gone?

Hello,

Yesterday I started booking a trip on the Air France website and got as far as selecting seats (it was a business class booking - excited to try the reverse herringbone seat). However, I got distracted by a phone call and when I went back to complete the payment the page had timed out. Subsequently trying to replicate that booking only shows a significantly higher fare for the same flights (+€500 per person more than the price I originally had).

Is it possible that the lower priced seats that I was about to book are now somehow "on hold" on the system and will be re-released again, provided nobody else has booked them? 24 hours have elapsed and that inventory/availability doesn't seem to be bookable again as I'm only seeing the higher price still.
