Not sure about sale periods but ex-AMS prices were around £1500 rt in J just before Xmas, which is very good.

I travel to South America quite often for work and it frustrates me because I don't really get a chance to see about! Try travel round if you can, the Argentinian winter is especially beautiful, and Chile/Torres del Paines.
