Delta airlines is going to acquired 5 of Avianca's A318 in mid 2017 and have sharklets fitted for all the A318's. Also it will be replacing odler MD-88's Registration:N905DL, N919DL, N912DL, N911DE, N908DL these were all built before 1990 they are at least 29 years or older and the the registration on the A318's are N595EL, N598EL, N589EL, N591EL, N592 Delta should have them repainted and updates interior with seatback entertainment or (PTV) but they will be completed and in service by late 2017. (we are still awaiting a final report from delta and more confirmation)
