This is very true. Furthermore, with AS, we grew to know and like people over the years (in addition to an FT presence). At our hometown airports, we got to know BR staff well, some gate agents, management, and with MVPG Lunches and other events, upper management. Several of us have served on the GAB. We even see familiar FAs from time to time.

In my MM+ on UA, there were only two employees which I ever really "knew" and those were the two ladies that staffed the SFO 1K room. Yes, there were familiar faces from time to time and occasionally a FA I would recognize, but for the most part, even though I was treated very well during my 1K tenure (during an era when it really mattered), it was mostly by a new face on every occasion.

While the brick may not love me, the employees and management of the brick, if indeed, AS is a brick, have demonstrated at least a serious like for me over the past 30 years. And even though I may "sleep around" with other domestic bricks (DL, AA, WN ... and for the first time B6 in a few days) at least the AS brick isn't cold when you lie next to it!
