Indeed. I'm willing to bet that aircraft to Metro at NCL is actually more steps than aircraft to Tube at LHR. I might measure it next time! (Edited to add - for BA domestics)

However, as lhrsfo says, touchdown to doors open is likely to be quicker at NCL, even if you land at the wrong end of the runway.
