Well, quite part from the fact that it is, to say the least, debatable whether keeping the frequent flyers that bring in the bulk of your revenue happy even if it means losing a £6 BOB sale from once-a-year Joe in seat 23E should be regarded as a "very bad business decision", I would have thought that, in any event, the elite-heavy flights on which this would be likely to happen would be short flights to mainly business destinations on which you would expect few BoB sales anyway.
