I will put something on the Information thread when there's a collective landing on this, but my impression is that for those who don't have a standard debit or credit card via the Visa and Mastercard networks, or Amex, the options are:

- supplementary cards issued from another cardholder (which may or may not work for unaccompanied children over 12 years old).
- Transferring or buying Avios to a BAEC account. If the passenger is a Blue cardholder they must also have the BA App when travelling. Works for unaccompanied children provided they are linked via a Household Account (HHA).

What I would like to see, given the current constraints, is that people can buy credit via Paypal, so fully prepaid in advance of travel - which then allows a vast array of payment options. BA could also set up an automatic refund process so any unused credit is automatically refunded back after 3 or 6 months. The passenger then presents a Paypal initiated credit barcode, which has an expiry date.
