Cathay Pacific takes honours as safest airline in the world

For the third consecutive year, Cathay Pacific has been named the world's safest airline according to Germany's Jet Airline Crash Data Evaluation Centre's (JACDEC) Safety Index which analyses factors such as hull loss accidents, revenue passenger kilometres, cumulative passenger data for the last 30 years, fatalities, accident-free years and the number of serious incidents, among other factors, to calculate a rating.
