The KUL-BKK will be on the same day as the return to start the journey to LHR. Would MH allow me to check my luggage to LHR at KUL, then board KUL-BKK?

Thanks
No. That's a fact as I have almost similar flight patterns.

Your luggage needs to follow your ticket... So you either have to check it to BKK.., go through immigration and customs, collect your bags, and then recheck in at BKK for LHR via KUL.

Or go to KUL airport, leave your bags at left luggage, do the KUL-BKK-KUL sectors, go thru immigration again, collect your bags and then check in the bag for the KUL-LHR sector.

MH @ KUL will not allow your bags to be checked to LHR without having flown the KUL-BKK-KUL sectors.
