Noticed an identikit menu being introduced in Edinburgh Grosvenor and Sheffield and a few others.

Seems to mean a reduced choice and increased prices. I also noticed tonight that "a discretionary 8.5% service charge will be added to your bill" is tucked away at the bottom amongst the blurb.
Do any of those properties have common ownership? For example, are all the corporate owned properties doing this or are the properties doing this all owned by the same franchisee? I would expect a franchisee or even Hilton corporate to implement something like this as opposed to Hilton International to require all their franchisees to standardize their menus.
