It's certainly more work to clean a suite compared to a standard room. Since this is the Hyatt forum, how about if you use a DSU, do you only tip the housekeeper based on the underlying room size booked, and write a note "Diamond - DSU"?
Indeed I tip more when I have a suite. I also tip more when I have 'trashed' the room- left empty food containers, wine bottles, etc. left behind. If I just slept and showered and the rest of the room is untouched I tip a bit less. The room rate is never a factor!
