But did you book with FB or Skypesos miles. If the former, you should try to call FB or AF in France (to avoid to be handled by DL agents in US/CA) or to contact them via Twitter or Facebook. Booked with SkyPesos...turns out the flight was canceled because the pilot was sick. Now, I am concerned that is not going to fall under the EU regulations for compensation...I am out of a day of my trip, significant delay, worthless train tickets, etc and no compensation. Of course, these things happen, but I just know AF will weasel out of it somehow.
Any recommendations on how to approach the compensation issue? Should I use one of those mediation services that handles it for you?
