Booked with SkyPesos...turns out the flight was canceled because the pilot was sick. Now, I am concerned that is not going to fall under the EU regulations for compensation...I am out of a day of my trip, significant delay, worthless train tickets, etc and no compensation. Of course, these things happen, but I just know AF will weasel out of it somehow.

Any recommendations on how to approach the compensation issue? Should I use one of those mediation services that handles it for you?
